Program Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute program plans and budgets to ensure that project goals and objectives are met on time and within budget
- Manage program risks and issues and develop contingency plans as necessary
- Ensure that all program deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, requirements, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful program outcomes
- Monitor program performance metrics and take corrective action as necessary
Team Management:
- Manage a team of project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to deliver program outcomes
- Provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure that they are aligned with program goals and objectives
- Set performance expectations for team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support their development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
Budgeting and Financial Performance:
- Develop and manage program budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure that program resources are allocated effectively to meet program goals and objectives
- Monitor program financial performance and take corrective action as necessary to ensure that program costs are within budget
Policies and Systems:
- Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that program goals and objectives are met
- Ensure that program policies and procedures are compliant with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement program reporting systems to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate information on program performance
Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
- Continuously review program performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement program improvement initiatives to enhance program outcomes and efficiencyProduce regular program reports to stakeholders that provide insight into program performance
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in managing complex IT programs, preferably in a large enterprise environment
- Strong project management skills, including experience managing large, complex projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve program goals and objectives
- Strong financial management skills, with experience managing large program budgets
- Experience with program management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Lean Six Sigma
- Experience with IT infrastructure, applications, and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
