Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East, with a team of 150 people based in Bahrain, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers’ plants.

We are currently seeking an HSE Officer to support the implementation of HSE related standards, policies and procedures and monitor operational activities to ensure they remain in compliance with Fives and Customer HSE requirements, and HSE regulations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal HSE policies, processes, procedures, standards and plans to ensure Fives Services Gulf operates in a safe and compliant manner whilst remaining in compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines
- Conduct thorough incident/accident investigations as per established Company policies and procedures and report on the outcome in order to take necessary corrective and/or preventative actions to ensure safeguarding of operations in relation of HSE practices
- Support the implementation of the HSEQ audit and inspection plan and execute audits/inspections as required by following established Company policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the HSEQ system is evaluated and necessary recommendations are made to address any gaps/ identified risks
- Conduct audits/inspections using a range of methods, techniques and equipment ensuring that data and results are accurately recorded in accordance with Company and international HSE standards and procedures
- Develop and maintain the HSE training register to track and monitor HSE training requirements in the Maintenance Department to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary HSE knowledge, awareness and expertise to execute operational work in a safe and compliant manner and in accordance with HSE standards
- Coordinate the logistics and administrative requirements for scheduling and delivery of HSE training and awareness sessions (onsite and offsite) and ensure all training requirements are delivered as per HSE and operational needs
- Responsible for ensuring all required HSE checklists (i.e. pre-check list, hand tools check list, power tools check list, daily checklist, monthly check list etc), are completed as per established timelines and Company policies and procedures
- Ensure all workplace related PPE i.e. first aid boxes, fire extinguisher cylinders, notices & signs etc. are readily displayed and available as per Customer and Fives HSE standards and procedures and ensure any safety materials are adequately replenished in a timely manner to support safe execution of operations
- Maintain all HSE related documentation, records, licenses and certifications, as per established document control procedures for ease of reference and retrievability
- Coordinate and assist with emergency evacuation drills as and when required
Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant HSE discipline or a relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience
- NEBOSH certification (Level 3) is mandatory. Preferably level 6 or equivalent
- International OSH membership (i.e. CertISOH)
- Approved by Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA)
- Knowledgeable about local HSE regulations requirement such as ADOSH-SF
