What you’ll be doing:
-Ensure food safety standards and quality control guidelines are effectively implemented and followed across Distribution Centre (DC) operations.
– Perform on-site inspections of inbound, storage, and outbound processes to ensure compliance with operational guidelines and standards.
– Monitor compliance with food safety policies, procedures, regulations, and standards (HACCP/FSSC 22000, and other relevant certifications)
– Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify adherence to food handling processes, storage conditions, and quality control procedures.
– Collaborate with regulatory authorities to manage product registrations and approvals in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
– Organize and deliver food safety trainings and awareness programs for food handlers as per the training plan.
– Perform regular product sampling and testing to confirm compliance with safety and quality standards.
– Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions to address any discrepancies in product quality or processes.
– Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, corrective actions, and quality control reports to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance.
– Ensure all quality control documentation is continuously updated and fully aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and certifications.
– Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and ongoing application of best practices in food quality and safety.
– Support the preparation and facilitation of audits conducted by external regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
– Provide continuous feedback and actionable recommendations to enhance food quality, safety, and operational efficiency within the Distribution Centre.
– Foster strong collaboration with warehouse, logistics, and central planning teams to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes within overall distribution operations.
