Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector Civil, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our roads and infrastructure projects throughout the emirate.
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects
- Review and interpret contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Perform site supervision and carry out regular inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
- Prepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues promptly
- Conduct and document site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures on-site
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence related to contract documents and site requirements
- Monitor the start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestones
- Perform audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans
- Stay updated on local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi, ensuring all work meets required standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roads and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE preferred
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices, quality control, and safety standards
- Strong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in site measurement, surveying techniques, and related software tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in using inspection software and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi
- RTA Approval is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions
