Analytics Engagement Manager | MAF Retail | Corporate Head Office


The Manager – Analytics Engagement is responsible for being agile in bridging between the analytics product teams and the country/cross-functional teams by integrating analytics into the business-as-usual way of working to execute our Analytics Delivery and Insights roadmap. The role holder is also responsible for designing, planning and delivering analytics use-cases in a timely manner across multiple Majid Al Futtaim Retail markets.

  • Develop a clear understanding of the business’s strategic needs, create project charters defining scope, implementation plan and impact targets for use-cases
  • Drive the deployment and adoption of 1-2 cross-functional analytics projects across 4-5 countries
  • Articulate business needs to the Product Owners and development team in order to find the best analytical solutions to address the business problem
  • Support team on best use data in their day-to-day work through improving their awareness
    of data available and generating insights from data
  • Assess and prioritize initiatives/features based on impact and feasibility in line with business and advanced analytics strategy
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to assess existing use-cases and identify areas of improvement to increase impact and improve adoption
  • Identify and gather data from the business to be used for the use case analysis/modelling
  • Communicate the insights generated with appropriate recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Execute governance framework and streamline use-case lifecycle
  • Act as a use case squad member supporting across the different stages of a use case (managing process of defining impact & process of setting up implementation plans, etc.) to solve and deliver the project
  • Develop and track mitigation plans to achieve impact target for underperforming countries
  • Conduct training sessions to business users to drive consumption and adoption of advanced analytics tools
  • Communicate insights in compelling ways, creating data story telling
  • Develop proof of concepts for new analytics initiatives having a customer-centric approach. Build new and creative analytics products with the aim of optimizing the user experience and business operations
  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, engineers, and business teams and other key stakeholders as their business partner, to identify the scope of improvement and drive the right processes to deliver on the business objectives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or quantitative subject (Analytics, Engineering, Math, Statistics, etc.)
  • 5-7 years in an Analytics agile role in an international environment; leveraging analytics to drive business decisions with the ability to demonstrate value and track record
  • 2+ years in the retail/FMCG business is preferred and GCC experience is an advantage
  • Should have worked on Customer Analytics, Inventory Management or Assortmenet or Promotion or pricing solution or Work force optimization
  • Experience in several visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
