InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star presence.

Your responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in supervising and training housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and laundry staff. Ensure that all team members adhere to hotel standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards are met. Take corrective action as necessary.
  • Assist in managing housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment inventory. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns and requests related to housekeeping services. Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve guest issues and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards set by local regulations and the hotel. Implement and enforce proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste disposal. Assist in preparing and managing the housekeeping department budget. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations for housekeeping staff. Provide feedback, recognition, and support for professional development opportunities.
  • Lead by example and foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and excellence. Motivate and inspire housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service consistently.

Ideally, you’ll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
