Assistant Manager, Sales – E-Commerce


Work under the guidance of the Senior Manager – Sales Operations to assist in creating and maintaining the sales strategy for B2B and B2C platforms, and in creating, managing, and executing sales plans.
Analyse and understand user behaviours on both B2B and B2C platforms and suggest plans, processes, and methods to recapture lost opportunities offline, including through direct communications with customers.
Research and identify competitive alternatives to fulfil the custom requirements and bespoke customer requests received through any online or offline channel, and work with the internal teams and the requesting customer to complete the sales transaction.
Work relentlessly on acquiring customers through direct communications and any other effective methods as may be applicable in different countries in line with the assigned targets and sales plans.
Share knowledge and experience with peers and counterparts in other locations worldwide and adopt best practices as and when applicable.
Proactively follow up on uncompleted sales transactions through direct communications with customers and in alignment with the Customer Experience team. Use the approved reengagement methods to regain the business and regularly provide feedback to the line manager on the challenges and achievements.
Assist the line manager in all activities related to customer acquisition, sales targeting, and online-to-offline conversions, and support in online traffic analysis to optimize the effectiveness of marketing plans.
Create reports to track progress and evaluate results and suggest relevant enhancements accordingly.
Oversee the performance of promotional offers in alignment with the business goals and objectives and proactively analyse and report results.
Proactively identify opportunities for the improvement of sales and sales management methodologies, and report to the line manager.
Identify and report customer, product, and site issues and work with the cross functional teams on effectively and timely resolving any and all issues and implementing preventive solutions.
Provide the line manager with insights on customer shopping trends to support product selection and suggest tactics to resolve gaps.
Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry and assist the line manager in performing competitor analysis and benchmarking.

Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
5 Years in a sales position, including 2 years in an e-commerce sales or marketing field.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce funnels, online conversion metrics, web analytics, performance management and all other proficiencies related to e-commerce sales enablement and optimisation.
Self-motivated with outstanding organizational and communication skills, and passion to achieving results.
Good knowledge and experience in B2C and B2B E-Commerce and trade & logistics at large.
Innovation, creativity, taking initiative and problem-solving skills.
Proactive attitude.
Team player.
Ability to work under high pressure.
