Berth Planning Lead – Jeddah

Running The Business

  • Connect our customers as per contractual delivery promise and in conjunction with Ocean / Feeder fulfilment teams / Global Stowage and Terminals.
  • Coordinate execution planning (2-4 weeks) with all stakeholders to ensure customer outcomes & asset capabilities are secured.
  • Lead and execute individual vessel game plans (0-72 hours).
  • Review and track real time progress against gameplan and drive all stakeholders to common outcome.
  • Ensure asset turnaround and connections as per specs.
  • Investigate root causes for deviations to plan and adopt measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Lead & coordinate with respective stakeholders in maintaining transit dwell (Flex-Hub & longstanding).
  • Steer cargo advancement opportunities and recovery actions in line with thresholds.
  • In event of crisis (port disruption / strike and or vessel / cargo incident alongside), participates in relevant CMT and supports crisis management team locally with various stakeholders (agents / authorities / etc.)
  • Communicate ETA, berthing prospects & berth schedule changes to ships

Improving The Business

  • Resolves customer pain points / experience (delivery touchpoint) in collaboration with Ocean Fulfilment, GSP and Terminal.
  • Identify and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of working.

Internal stakeholders:

  • Ocean / Feeder and Service Fulfilment
  • GSP / Centre

External stakeholders:

  • Terminal Planning
  • Pilots / Towage / Agents

Critical competencies

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the industry
  • Leading with customer empathy
  • Strong communication & analytical skills.
  • Digitally competent & having data driven approach
  • Locals with family book are prefered
