WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Communications Manager you will be part of CSM’s Middle East team, contributing to the strategic development and executional delivery of a variety of communication, content and brand activations, including press launches, talent and influencer management, media relations, social media management, content creation, media hosting, creative and editorial copywriting, internal comms and third party agency, supplier and Rights Holder management.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the comms workstreams on your account, building solid relationships with clients, mentoring juniors and supporting the senior team. You will report into a Senior Account manager. You will be part of our Brand team based in CSM’s UAE offices, providing Communications services for a multinational B2B brand with a global motorsports partnership.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning + Account Management
•Support in developing and delivering a Content + Communications plan to support the overall partnership activation strategy
•Setting campaign KPIs, and overseeing measurement and evaluation / reporting
•Attending weekly client, all agency and internal account meetings
PR
•Overseeing the delivery of a major media event in key races in the UK, Americas, Saudi, Asia and any others, in partnership with the Rights Holder
•Undertaking client briefings ahead of media engagements and content capture sessions
•Drafting of editorial materials to include press releases, messaging houses, Q+As, fact sheets and spokespeople briefing documents
•Management of media activity including photocalls, press conferences and media pitching
•Building strong relationships with strategic media contacts and managing media partnerships
Content + Social
•Briefing and managing a production agency to create dynamic video content across the campaign, partnership hero films, race reels, and any other activation content.
•Creating written editorial and social collateral and assets including features, op-eds, media briefings and short form content copy
•Working with CSM’s design studio to brief and produce social media templates and content
•Own social media planning; create and execute tactical social media plans for local market offices to amplify activations at international races
•Managing photographers on-ground at races and developing photography and content capture briefs
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
•A passion for sports, motorsport
•5+ years’ experience in PR / Marketing
•Ownership and strong interpersonal skills
•Ability and confidence to guide and counsel clients
•Proven ability to prioritise and time management
•Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
•Outstanding written and oral communications skills
•Time management and ability to work as part of a team
•Fluent in business English
•Flexibility to travel to all races and activations
•Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
•Ability to build and manage budgets
•Proven track record of working with photographers and production companies and an understanding of the creative process for visual content creation
•Strong contacts across sport & lifestyle media, with a sound understanding of the regional landscape
•Solution-focused and hands on approach to communications, using a range of marketing skills including media relations, press release and video content creation, talent handling and event organisation and management
