MISSIONS:

As a Design Coordinator, you will be part of DBI Operations team and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence in delivery of SYSTRA projects, in UAE and worldwide. You will work closely with bid and commercial managers, multi discipline technical engineers, project managers, project control specialists, as well as with the internal and external Clients’ teams to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, up to Client’s satisfaction.

The Key responsibilities include:

  • Be involved in technical coordination and design management activities on SYSTRA DBI projects at different stages: early engagement with contractors and public clients (services proposal), management of tender design (including Value Engineering services) during Bidding competition, post contractor award with delivery of detailed design services,

On the assigned projects:

  • Communicating with multi-disciplinary team of SYSTRA technical engineers, in UAE and worldwide, and partners and subconsultants, while leading, guiding, and insuring consistency between discipline-specific teams,
  • Reviewing and resolving interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted,
  • Assuring the delivered engineering designs meet all project requirements including schedule, quality and technical safety standards,
  • Ensuring smooth communication with SYSTRA Clients on design delivery related matters,
  • Monitoring physical progress and preparing regular reports for Project Management teams and DBI Operations Management, addressing any significant variances in technical, schedule and manpower and recommend corrective actions as necessary,
  • Providing design, technical and analytic assistance in cases where modifications or variations are necessary,
  • Participating in the consolidation of inputs for financial estimations of delivery effort, with the support of SYSTRA technical leads and DBI Operations Management.

PROFILE:

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent.
  • Proven experience within the infrastructure design or construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, deadline-driven environment.
