As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quantity Surveyor in all aspects related to cost estimation, budget control, and financial management for our road and infrastructure construction supervision project in Abu Dhabi. Your responsibilities will include assisting in quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Your new role, what’s involved?

We are looking for a highly experienced Document Controller to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of recent experience working with construction consultants in Abu Dhabi. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documents, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Document Management:
    • Establish and maintain a document control system for all project documentation.
    • Ensure all documents are accurately recorded, categorized, and stored in the document management system.
    • Control the distribution of documents to ensure that all stakeholders have access to the correct information.
  2. Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure all project documents comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure document integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
    • Implement and maintain document control procedures and guidelines.
  3. Coordination and Communication:
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to manage the flow of documents.
    • Communicate document control requirements and procedures to all project stakeholders.
    • Respond to document-related inquiries and provide support to project teams.
  4. Document Tracking and Reporting:
    • Track the status of documents and ensure timely review, approval, and distribution.
    • Generate regular reports on document control activities, including document status, distribution, and compliance.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date document register.
  5. Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to team members on document control processes and systems.
    • Assist in the implementation of document management software and tools.
    • Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in document control technologies.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of recent experience as a Document Controller with construction consultants in Abu Dhabi.
  • Proven experience in managing project documents in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of document control processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in document management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
