Your key responsibilities:

Planning Cycle Support

  • Oversee the strategic planning activities undertaken in the FP&A team, including 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget and forecast consisting of issuing clear guidelines, deliverables and timeline
  • Provide an external perspective and scan the macro environment for emerging trends in the market and feed through that insight to the Business Partners and Group Finance
  • Support the implementation of an Aggreko wide planning tool as well as FP&A related system upgrades.

Internal Reporting

  • Engage with other streams within Finance (OTC, RTR and STP) for clear understanding of the financial process and alignment
  • Promote the use of the company’s business intelligence system to provide insight into the performance of the business
  • Provide analytical insight into a broad range of financial and commercial issues.
  • Prepare/review and distribute Performance Dashboard Metrics reports
  • Promote in-depth understanding of the business and help define relevant drivers for performance analytics
  • Assist in the preparation of business presentation materials
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of business processes including financial, operational, and sales
  • Oversee the capital request and approval process
  • Develop and establish standard reporting templates and metrics
  • Perform standard analysis and reporting, including profitability and unit cost analysis

Ad-hoc analysis

  • Manage and deliver ad-hoc analysis to key stakeholders on a timely fashion
  • Support Group PLC with ad-hoc requirements relevant for the Group consolidation and analysis (including results presentation)
  • Review ongoing ad-hoc requests to determine if any requirements are requested often and work to incorporate into the standard suite of reports/analysis provided to Finance Business Partners.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners with providing M&A acquisition support to the business
  • Support the Finance Business Partners specifically around stock valuation and asset verification processes conducted at set times during the year

Management

  • Manage the development of a team of FP&A analysts by setting performance targets, ensuring adequate training and actively increasing skill level to provide agreed level of expertise to the business
  • Manage the day to day delivery of work of a team of analysts ensuring SLAs are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Organize the FP&A team of analysts to ensure alignment with stakeholders and strong business fit
  • Be aware of ongoing trends in FP&A and analytics as well as best practice to promote adoption of new tools, technology and processes with the Global Process Owner

AMEA Specific job description

  • P&Ls actual and quarterly re-forecast preparation, review to ensure that the results are of highest accuracy and reported on a timely manner with all relevant details for internal and external reporting
  • Balance sheet actual and quarterly re-forecast preparation, review to ensure it is of highest accuracy and timely manner
  • Yearly Budget – Planning and delivery on budget on time with highest accuracy and timeliness
  • EPR/QPR slides preparation closely with HoF
  • Month end activities with Wipro to be managed and any issues to be escalated.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation review – Review the balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Wipro, challenge them closely and ensure highest quality recons are maintained monthly
  • Simplifying the business – Continuous clean up of all business centers, closed projects to ensure team energy/time spend only on real running projects.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of work experience

Professional skills / experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience including of heavy analytic responsibilities and direct support provided to Business Management
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a team of analysts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep experience in preparing financial reports, building and utilising financial and operational decision-making models, trend analysis and forecasting
  • Strong experience in managing a team of analysts providing FP&A activities
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with Infor ERP environment, an EPM solution, Financial Consolidation systems and BI
  • Advanced use of Microsoft office (primarily excel and powerpoint)
