IT Project Manager
Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work with the business and the technical team to roll out and implement engineering related projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the delivery and management of multiple medium-sized IT projects related to civil infrastructure design.
- Develops the project approval documentation, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
- Works with project team to develop estimates, schedules and work plans to ensure timely completion of a project or working group within a project
- Assigns responsibilities and coordinates the activities of the team, including vendors
and contractors - Prepare financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
- Directs the formation, execution and closeout of the assigned project so it meets project specifications and requirements and is delivered within budget and schedule
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop business requirements and user stories
- Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
- Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
- Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
- Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company
- Continually update relevant business stakeholder of project status and periodically publish project status reports
- Serves as a subject matter expert to regularly brief key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
- Represents the project in various project governance and inter-departmental forums
- Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
- Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case
- Demonstrates knowledge in Parsons business acumen and process and associated
industry technologies
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- 4-year degree in Business or Computer Science (or related curriculum) and 5-10 years of relevant IT experience and at least 4-6 years of progressive experience in project management. Experience in business analysis, Agile framework using Scrum, Integration, and cloud computing skills/experience desired or an equivalent combination of work experience and education. Ability to travel up to 20%. Fluent in English, Prefer experience within the technology field in the Architecture, Engineering and Consulting industry.
Certifications:
- Required or ability to obtain: Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)
Special Consideration will be given for certifications in at least one of the following
SAFe Release Train Engineer, Product Owner/Product Manager, Scrum Master; Project Management Institute Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
