Job Description
Job Purpose & Scope:
The Junior Internal Auditor will be trained during his/her employment on conducting Internal Audit assignments in accordance with the standards promulgated by the Internal Auditors and to provide high-quality work deliverables bringing added value to the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Review backup documents to ensure payments are properly supported with approved PO, valid Invoices, acknowledged DO, etc.
• Processing of payments after ensuring appropriate approvals as per DOA and compliance with relevant policies along with confirming correct accounting entries.
• Verify incentive payouts as allocated by Manager – Internal Audit
• Conduct surprise audits at various entity locations as per the approved Internal Audit plan
• Verify stock variance and bad debts write-off requests as per the work program.
• Review draft incentive policies in line with the Group Incentive policy framework and policy review checklist.
• Conduct stock counts at various entity locations based on scheduled half-yearly OR year-end inventory counts.
• Assist the Internal Audit team to conduct full-scope audit assignments or other tasks as requisitioned by IA leadership and/or Senior Management
• Draft audit reports and memos for the surprise audit and other audit assignments undertaken for review by the Head, IA Mngr, or by the auditor-in-charge.
• Audit Programs/Development/changes: With IA manager approval, assist to develop audit programs necessary to promote effective audit coverage.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification : Degree in accounting, economics or business administration.
Experience : 1 or 2 years experience in Accounting/auditing is preferred but not mandatory.
Good attention to detail
Analytical Skills.
Good Command over Written and Spoken English
