Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

Planning and Organizing:

  • Planning the maintenance for the pool and pool plant room together with the Duty Engineer.
  • Make sure that the pools are regularly clean and maintained in the specific parameters
  • Organize super chlorination with outside company without disturbing guest comfort

Maintenance

  • Maintain water chemistry within recommended standards.
  • Complete daily chemical tests and record in logbook.
  • Ensure all fire, health and safety standards are strictly followed.
  • Performed daily cleaning of all systems filters and grills.
  • Carryout systems backwash as required by different pressure readings.
  • Report major defects immediately.
  • Employ good quality workmanship while completing work within time constrains.
  • Safely operate all pumps and fittings.
  • Maintain pool temperature within laid down limits.
  • Plan all the PPM for all pool equipment.
  • Responsible for all pool technicians.

Qualifications

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
  • One year operating experience in a hotel engineering department.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Speaks, reads and writes English fluently ( an additional foreign language would be an advantage).
  • Outgoing personality.
  • Should be able to work long hours with minimum supervision.
