Purchasing Executive – MEIA Graduate Program
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
We are looking for talents like you to join our full-time permanent position in our MEIA Graduate Program. Your journey in this program will consist of exciting tasks at work and your development will be accelerated through formulation of personal development plan, local or internal assignments and focused training programs over the course of a year.
As a Purchasing Executive, you are expected to manage and execute operational purchasing tasks for Indirect Materials in close cooperation with local stakeholders.
This position reports to the Purchasing Manager and will be based in Al Quoz 3 Industrial Area, Dubai, U.A.E.
Responsibilities:
- Align with different departments to define needs, specifications, plan purchases, and select the best suppliers for indirect materials
- Negotiate and establish agreements using Jotun purchasing process and securing optimal terms
- Manage supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and selection to approval and audits in alignment with category needs and quality standards
- Place and track orders in Matrix (Jotun Database System) to ensure proper contract alignment and manage invoices according to company guidelines
- Implement category management for selected indirect materials and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Purchasing Manager
- Assist the Raw Material Purchasing Executive on Planning of Raw Materials ordering, transportation and communicating with internal and external stake holders.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics or a related field
- More than 3 years of purchasing experience (Manufacturing industry experience is an added advantage)
- Fluency in English language – both spoken and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- A valid U.A.E. light vehicle driving license is an added advantage
