Sales Manager – Government & GCC

About the role

The Sales Manager will be in charge of Corporate & Leisure/ FIT & Group business from the Local Government Entities and the GCC.

He/she will be responsible for soliciting and securing business from government entities, corporate accounts and key travel industry sources in the GCC.

He/she should thrive in this role, be results and goal driven, have strong negotiating and influencing skills, be innovative with a positive mind-set.

What you will do

Main Duties & Key Components:

  • To ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.
  • To have a passion for excellence, expertise in Sales and proven leadership experience as Sales Manager, works across the different disciplines to deliver an exceptional Service.
  • Be responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing individual accounts / business on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan and in coordination with WSO effort.
  • Be accountable for ensuring quotas, goals are met, and to ensure that direct sales activities are focused on generating the highest possible RevPar for the overall hotel’s success.
  • This position requires a high degree on independent judgment and discretion on decision-making.
  • Set strategy for the segment and provide market insights and comp set analysis.
  • Account management: Provide revenue and room night data and do regular quarterly reviews with main account contacts. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
  • Conduct site inspections and client entertainment both on and off property.

What you bring

  • Luxury hotel sales experience.
  • UAE-based professional experience directly related to hotel sales of 3 or more years dealing with local government entities.
  • Existing solid relationship with key local government accounts.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Arabic & English. Arabic is a must.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage several demanding tasks in a consistently busy environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
