The Position: Supervise the Repair Station logistics and Warehouse day-to-day needs. Efficiently support the full repair cycle including component parts availability, and shipping-warehouse inventory to achieve customer satisfaction and satisfy global repair turn-around standards. Supervise the workflow, staffing, and development of the team. Resolves production challenges and establishes priorities to meet customer commitments. Owns inventory and assets, coordinates cycle counts, and annual budget planning, and leads cost-buster initiatives.
Repair Station Inventory and Warehouse Logistics
- Supervise the day-to-day local Repair Station Logic and Warehouse needs.
- Develop, communicate, monitor, and enforce key performance indicators to continuously improve productivity and efficiency.
- Facilitate processing of all Repair work orders to meet turnaround commitments to all customers.
- Maintains close working relationships with Repair Shop Supervisors and cross-functional partners in order to effectively understand and address production issues.
- Establish and maintain a 24-hour turnaround culture for parts delivery to the Repair Shop Floor and a 24-hour turnaround on customer shipments after completion of repair.
- As a Customer Advocate, works to eliminate roadblocks that impact the quality and timeliness of order processing and delivery.
- Maintain Warehouse, Shipping, and Administrative processes within the guidelines and regulations of the appropriate National Aviation Authority (NAA).
Supervisory
- Schedule weekly shift patterns based on business needs.
- Ensure all Logistics Staff are trained in local/regional systems and equipped to efficiently and productively perform their jobs.
- Has ownership of assets, supports budget planning, and leading cost buster initiatives.
- Develop and implement procedures to eliminate waste and promote individual responsibility and accountability.
- Hire, train, supervise, and appraise direct reports.
- May step in, in the Manager’s absence.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of direct experience in warehouse and logistics.
- Demonstrated leadership ability or prior lead experience.
- Prior supervisory experience and/or managerial training preferred.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.
- General knowledge of relevant local NAA warehouse and shipping regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of operational procedures and workflows to eliminate waste and promote individual responsibility and accountability.
- Skilled at escalating issues and eliminating roadblocks that impact the quality and timeliness of order processing and delivery.
- Must be well organized and able to balance multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced repair production environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows Office Suite and working with spreadsheets, databases, and analysis tools.
- Ability to plan, hire, train, appraise, and direct employees with diverse backgrounds.
- Highly developed team-building and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize department objectives.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
- Receives assignments and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Proficiency in an MRO database is preferred.
- May require up to 10% domestic or international travel.
