Technical Trainer – Well Testing

Overall Purpose of the Job

The Technical Trainer is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of – Well Test and MPFM technical classroom learning and workplace training.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Assist with execution of the Competence Assurance vision, goals and strategy for MENA Region.
  • Communicate and actively model the organization and business unit and act as a hands-on technical instructor and trainer by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of subject matter and displaying an ability to communicate concepts clearly, build practical skills and connect subject matter with related knowledge areas
  • Actively engage employees with diverse styles and cultures in a positive, energetic, and professional manner to ensure meaningful learning and effective transfer of knowledge and skills to daily work
  • Work with Group Competence Assurance Specialists and Managers and subject matter experts to: Develop, continuously improve, and implement blended learning solutions, including instructor led classroom learning, online e-learning, workplace training, skills assessments, etc. that satisfy client requirements and meet business demand and ensure that appropriate and updated learning content is used
  • Design, develop and deliver technical/operational skills demonstration exercises applying specialist product line knowledge
  • Provide input in review and updating of Product Line competencies as necessary.
  • Uses standardized metrics and assessments, evaluates student learning fairly and consistently, provides learners with constructive feedback, and learns to evaluate the learning effectiveness.
  • Available to extensive travel and to coordinate travel for classroom learning and workplace training events in various locations
  • Evaluate training programs and participate in continuous improvement of training material; conduct assessment of course objectives against student performance

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Well Test Operations. Preferably, hands on experience with MPFM meters as well, although not a mandatory requirement for the right candidate.

The role involves extensive travelling and candidate must take this in to consideration while applying for this role.
