Job Description:
The Commercial segment is a very large and exciting segment with a target opportunity size of $120 trillion. We are on an exciting journey to expand our ability to provide accounts payable and accounts receivable solutions that address the needs of the segment with a focus on doing away with paper and manual processes. We are focusing on the many inefficiencies in B2B Payments. From the speed of transaction and settlement, the transparency and visibility when money is moved to the economic model associated with B2B Payments. This is an exciting and fast-paced role in our focus area of Commercial payments. This role is suited to those who enjoy being hands-on with strategy, building new businesses, tapping new flows and delivering results. The role will focus on executing on our commercial strategy across issuing and acceptance. You will be the champion of building out new products and scaling existing solutions.

Role Purpose:
The successful candidate will be an experienced people leader and will be required to develop and manage products for the Mastercard business categorized into the areas of Travel & Entertainment, Procurement and Business to Business payables & receivables. You will interface with Banks, Travel and other vertical aggregators & technology partners, as well as with Large Corporates & the Public Sector across all of EEMEA.
This role will be tasked to help achieve the EEMEA Commercial Products P&L, business objectives and revenue goals.

The position will require a strategic thinking approach for our commercial products and solutions, P&L management skills with an ability to make decisions and create new and improved solutions for the region and also .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a business owner and manages long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for regional Commercial products and solutions
  • People Leadership of the regional product team
  • Works with global teams to define strategies for the region and leverage global developments
  • Deliver Commercial Product Financial Targets for EEMEA to grow revenue across T&E and B2B segments
  • Increase Commercial Product market share in EEMEA, across the three segments of T&E and B2B business.
  • Optimize and expand Commercial Product portfolios of existing Issuers, Corporates & Governments
  • Support the sales team to sell the value of Commercial Products to new Issuers, Corporates & Governments
  • Manage partnerships with OTA/TMC’s
  • Grow affection for Mastercard solutions & brand through the Commercial platforms that services customers for expense management and accounting
  • Deliver solutions that focus on growing EEMEA cross border volume
  • Execution of product materials and product line strategy in conjunction with the wider global strategies
  • Evaluate existing Mastercard Commercial Card Programs and identify card penetration and usage opportunities, within the issuers existing carded and un-carded customer base

Experience Required:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • B2B Payments experience preferred; strategy, sales, product management
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills to manage diverse team, inspire their best work in a collaborative environment.
  • Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and influence both internal constituents and senior level customer contacts.
  • Experience setting direction for go-to-market plans and leveraging market insights to differentiate from competitors
  • Experience initiating and managing investigations of product/business risks and concerns
  • Understanding of general core product offerings
  • Demonstrates strategic business acumen, digital/emerging technology expertise and strong product management skills
  • Knowledge of financial industry and commercial products especially in sales/account and product teams
  • Exhibits tenacity, encourages healthy debate and challenges conventional thinking
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, operates with a sense of urgency.
  • Consultative problem-solving skills
  • Extensive management experience with a proven ability to influence and motivate others to achieve objectives and to set a strategic vision of products team across the organization
